It is such a wonderful book! It’s so clear how much work has gone into it but I enjoyed reading more about it here - they’re all too humble to have explained it in this way at the launch event!

This is the kind of book I definitely would have wanted as a child - I cannot wait to get this for my friend's children (after I have read it, of course)!

ha ha! Yes, it's as entertaining and informative for adults as it is for children.

The book looks lovely and so full of life. It's so important to address the eating patterns of children and I'm sure this book with attract them towards "right eating"

I couldn’t love this more - can’t wait to get a copy of this now.

I really enjoyed this post and the book - original and fascinating

This sounds absolutely wonderful. As are the included illustrations. I too ordered a copy to read before gifting. Children are so curious and open minded until our adult world "gets to" them. I think this will nourish that original state.

I think childhood is a process of forgetting as much as learning. What iIliked about this book (and perhaps should have emphasised more) is how stimulating and exciting it is.

Well this book sounds just lovely. I wonder if it will help get my four year old interested in eating something other than rice and frankfurters?

Ha, that sounds familiar! I think it'd be a good way of normalising chat about food in general. Talking about food in its infinite variety is part of the process of child rearing isn't it, even if a child is going through a very specific and particular phase when it comes to eating? It's a lovely book.

Certainly it should be a big part of the process. We seem to have a hundred books about space and dinosaurs but none about food. (Tho I think we have one about a dinosaur eating peas?) Anyway, thanks for this profile. Looks great!

I'm always on the lookout for good food-themed children's books. Can be fiction or non-fiction.

You’ve made me realise how many books we have about food. 😂 We were just reading chapatti moon this afternoon. But this is another level!

I always look out for them when I'm choosing books for my grandchildren. I love that you're similarly obsessed 🤩😊

Great timing as if I order it now, I'll have time to read it before gifting it to my nephew - I'll have a lot to learn from this book too.

I learned a lot of new pronunciations! As a big reader, I don't always get the chance to hear how words are said.
